We had a wild time this past Saturday at the R. Park Fest. Great food, great people and flash t-storms made for a relatively perfect day. For more information on the big picture behind the celebration click here. [Note: the photos below that make us look like we're at Coachella should be credited to the lovely Nicole Muster and/or Instagram filters.] Add Comment Yesterday, we were lucky enough to be invited to Detroit's first-ever diner en blanc on Belle Isle. This enigmatic "BYO everything" dinner originated in Paris and all details are kept on the hush right up until the guest show up -- tables, chairs, food, drink and silverware in hand! Everyone is also instructed to dress in all white attire. Naturally, we raided the local Salvation Army and collectively blew $32 on our formal wear. We met a bunch of wonderful likeminded food and drink entreprenuers, such as James from Great Lakes Coffee and Joe from McClure's Pickles, who listened to our bad jokes and shared valuable business advice! We hope this is a tradition that continues for years to come. Below are some pictures of the event: |
